Karla is a Chicagoan born and raised. She received her BA in Theatre from Loyola University Chicago along with a BA in Psychology and a minor in Dance. She is founder of Loyola's first dance company, LUC Dance Co., now known as "The Company".

Karla has appeared on and off screen in numerous plays, musicals, improv comedy, commercials (tv/internet and VO), indie films (short and feature), industrials (print and video), and audiobooks.

Karla holds a Master of Science in Arts Administration from Drexel University; she uses those administrative skills to produce and present her own content.

When Karla is not on set or in a theatre, she's likely hanging out at home with the coolest kid around, her son, Maximo.
